Kaelini Live Rock is very similar to Fiji, only BETTER! It's a south pacific live rock, so it's very open, light weight with lots of different shapes, sizes and colors. It makes an excellent top off rock, or total reef building rock. We consider this rock better then Fiji and almost as good as our Marshall. Try it, you'll love it. NOTE After curing Kaelini, it’s normal for the colors to be very faded and not as brilliant as the color picture shown. This is normal and the color comes back after establishing itself in your tank. If you have PC or VHO’s, this color should come back very quickly if your calcium/alk is good. If you have metal halide, the color will take longer to come back. Halide is just a little strong for any coralline algae, especially the more bright color straines.
NOTE: We cure our rock in 600 gallon pools with halide lights and large skimmers, it's an almost zero ammonia enviroment. This is almost impossible to do in a small tank or trash can, so basicaly we can do this job much better then the average aquarist. We get premium raw plant rock and cure. We charge per pound on the rock, when you buy rock from us, you get actual weight. We use a Legal For Trade scale and give you the rock weight you ordered, plus the box.
